Town elections to be held May 14

LINGLE – The Town of Lingle has two (2) open council member positions for the May 14, 2024 election. The term for these positions is four (4) years. You will see one (1) name listed on the ballot and two (2) lines for write-in votes. In order for a write-in vote to count, you must write the candidates full name as registered with the County Clerk. The write-in candidate’s name must be spelled legibly and correctly or the vote will not count. If write-in candidates are not registered to vote, they are not eligible to hold office.
The last day to register to vote in the town’s election is Tuesday, April 30. If you need to register to vote, please visit Town Hall, 220 Main Street, or the Goshen County Clerk’s Office, 2125 East A Street, in Torrington.
Voting begins Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Lingle Community Center, 233 Main Street. Voting will close at 7 p.m. If you are unable to make it to the Lingle Community Center on the day of the election, please visit Town Hall and request an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots must be returned to Town Hall by Monday, May 13, 2024 at 4 p.m.
Voters must present one of the following forms of identification when voting: Valid State-Issued Driver’s License or ID Card, Tribal ID Card, US Passport, US Military ID Card, Wyoming College ID Card, Wyoming Public School Student ID Card, Valid Medicare Insurance Card, or Valid Medicaid Insurance Card. If you do not have an ID card, you can obtain a free identification card from your local driver’s services office.
