LINGLE – The Lingle Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 at 1 p.m. The annual event takes place at Whipple Park, near the intersection of highways 26 and 85.
Participants will be divided into three age groups: 0-3 years of age, 4-6 years of age and 7-13 years of age. Last year, department personnel hid over 10,000 eggs in the park and at individual residences.
“The Easter Egg Hunt is a great way for our community to get to know the volunteer members of our department,” Captain Logan Dailey said. “This event allows us to build and sustain relationships with the community; people who might need to call us at some point.”
In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, the department will also be hosting its annual program, “Egg Your Yard.” Firefighters and EMTs will hide eggs at local residences on the night of March 30 for those who register. The price to participate is $15 for the first dozen eggs and $10 for each additional dozen eggs. To register for “Egg Your Yard,” send the department a message on Facebook at Facebook.com/LingleFire or call Logan at 308-530-8604.
